Steve will explore insolvency practitioners’ administrative powers and the way in which insolvency practitioners use, or should use, those powers to perform a quasi-judicial function, including:
– Controlling and selling assets.
– Trading a business.
– Adjudicating and determining the value of  creditors. Paying creditors.
– Assessing and determining the income of a  bankrupt.
– Calling on contributories.
– Powers to review administrative decisions.
– Intriguing administrative reviews and  judicial reviews.

Speakers

Stephen Hundy

Stephen Hundy joined Worrells in 2011 as a partner and leads our Canberra office. Stephen has worked exclusively in the insolvency industry since 1995 and is able to provide assistance in all areas of personal and corporate insolvency. Stephen is a Registered Liquidator, Registered Trustee in Bankruptcy, Chartered Accountant and a member of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA).
