Join us for this session as Simon and Chris present: Director’s Assets – What’s At Risk. This seminar reviews risks to company directors and their personal assets. Attendees will gain a refresher on why a well-considered asset protection strategy is critical to any person involved in a business and will cover:

  • What is and what is not protected from creditors under the Bankruptcy Act.
  • Weapons available to a bankruptcy trustee, including the voidable transactions provisions of the Bankruptcy Act.
  • Special ATO-related risks, including personal liability for PAYG and superannuation under the Director Penalty regime.
  • Key asset protection strategies and tips to protect those at risk.


Christopher Darin

Chris is a Registered Liquidator and associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Chris joined the firm as partner of the Sydney firm in July 2008 having been in practice on his own account since 1996. Chris' experience includes all aspects of corporate insolvency and adopts a consultative approach when exploring all financial avenues available to a distressed company. Chris also undertakes corporate advocacy appointments, assisting directors and companies in dealing with their debtors, creditors and other insolvency practitioners.

Simon Cathro

Simon joined Worrells Sydney in November 2015 as a Partner of the firm. Simon has over 19 years of insolvency and restructuring experience specialising in, insolvency reconstructions, corporate structure design, investigating accountant reports and expert witness investigations.
