Press Release: Woodland House in liquidation

On 11 July 2019, the directors of Woodland House Pty Ltd trading as Woodland House appointed Matthew Kucianski of Worrells Solvency & Forensic Accountants as liquidator.

Woodland House is one of Melbourne’s most well-known fine-dining restaurants. The restaurant trades from the iconic manor house located at 78 Williams Road in Prahran and boasts both private dining rooms and function spaces. Its chef-owners purchased the then three-hatted restaurant in 2014 from the renowned chef, Jacques Reymond.

The restaurant is now closed for trade as of 10 July 2019; and any future bookings will not be fulfilled.

The chef owners and directors appointed Worrells following what they saw was an emerging trend of increasing business costs and decreasing revenue.

Mr Kucianski said, “We are seeing increasing pressures in the hospitality space and the stresses felt by Woodland House are not unique. Both the directors and our team will work closely together throughout the process to get the best outcome possible.”

Worrells is calling for all creditors to lodge a proof debt via its online portal at Worrells appreciates the impact the appointment has on all affected parties and will continue to proactively communicate at each juncture of the administration.
