The directors of Lentil as Anything appointed Matthew Kucianski and Con Kokkinos of Worrells as voluntary administrators at a meeting on 28 February 2022.

Operating for over 20 years, Lentil as Anything, a registered charity, provided a “pay-what-you-feel” restaurant designed to help those in need, such as the homeless. The Victorian restaurants located in St Kilda, Abbotsford, Thornbury, and Brunswick ceased trading yesterday.

Mr Kucianski said, “Lentil as Anything is an iconic establishment that served the community for over two decades, but like all hospitality businesses carries high overheads and was susceptible to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

“The Worrells teams are focused on finding a way for the underlying business operations to be salvaged, if at all possible.”

“We are aware of the vested interest the community has in the future of Lentil as Anything and are working on achieving a positive outcome for both business and community stakeholders.”

Under the voluntary administration process, a first meeting of creditors is held within eight business days of the appointment, and a second meeting of creditors is usually held within 20 to 30 business days, when creditors of Lentil As Anything will vote on the company’s future.

Worrells has 32 offices nationally and 25 principals, across Qld, NSW, ACT, Vic, and WA. Worrells has been providing solvency management, insolvency administration, and forensic investigation services for over 49 years.
